Alliance Statement on Federal Workforce Executive Order

President, Alliance for Retired Americans
The 4.4 million members of the Alliance for Retired Americans strongly condemn this Administration’s retaliatory executive order attacking the fundamental rights of federal workers—hardworking public servants—to collectively bargain.
This is a blatant act of political retribution, targeting the people who dedicate their careers to serving the public. And make no mistake, while this executive order is aimed at the federal sector they will not stop until all workers have lost their collective bargaining rights.
Retirees know the difference a fair and just workplace makes. Many of us fought for these rights during our careers, and we refuse to stand by as they are stripped away from the next generation of public servants.
This executive order doesn’t just hurt federal workers—it weakens the efficiency and effectiveness of the very agencies that serve the American people. We stand in strong opposition to this reckless and unjust action and in solidarity with the federal employees who work tirelessly to serve their fellow Americans.
